Tyco Electronics
celebrates 10-year relationship with Temple Sales & Distribution
At the 2007 BICSI European Conference, the AMP NETCONNECT Business
Unit of Tyco Electronics is celebrating ten years of successful
association with Temple Sales & Distribution of Dublin.
Temple was formed in 1977 by John Ryan (now Chairman), the father of
Paul Ryan, the current Managing Director. The company was one of the
first Irish distributors in the data cabling market and today, with
the help of Tyco Electronics, has become Ireland's biggest supplier
of structured cabling systems.
'Our strategy for developing the AMP NETCONNECT brand has always
been very simple', says Paul Ryan: 'It relies on appointing a
limited number of highly skilled and committed installation partners
and working very closely with them to provide a very high level of
technical and sales support.'
Over the years, Temple has been involved in some major projects,
resulting in the AMP NETCONNECT Business Unit of Tyco Electronics
becoming one of the top suppliers of structured cabling systems in
the Irish market.
In 2007, Temple has, among a number of other major projects, won the
contract for a major Irish data centre with 30,000 fibre points and
20,000 copper points. 'These successes have resulted from a
combination of a significant amount of groundwork by Temple and
excellent technical and commercial support from Tyco Electronics',
says Paul Ryan.
'Tyco Electronics has always been at the leading edge technically,
so we have always been able to go to the market with copper and
fibre products that comfortably exceed the standards', adds Paul
Ryan: 'The Tyco Electronics product has never let us down or failed
to stand shoulder to shoulder with any competition.'
Julian Riley, Sales Director, UK & Ireland, for the AMP NETCONNECT
Business Unit of Tyco Electronics, is equally enthusiastic about the
relationship between the companies: 'Temple Sales and the AMP
NETCONNECT Business Unit of Tyco Electronics have developed a true
business partnership during the past 10 years, and the commitment
from both organisations has resulted in our strong market position
in Ireland. The team at Temple, led by Paul Ryan, has outstanding
customer focus, which has helped us create some strong relationships
within the AMP NETCONNECT Design & Installation (NDI) contractor
channel. Their desire to add value, coupled with their flexible
approach, has allowed Temple to break away from the conventional
model of a distribution company and, in doing so, has been
instrumental in helping the AMP NETCONNECT Business Unit of Tyco
Electronics to win a number of major projects in Ireland.'
Both companies remain committed to providing exceptional products
and services to the Irish marketplace.
